About Us
Welcome to the New POETIC BLOOMINGS.
Marie Elena and I are happy to present our new vision for the poets and friends of POETIC BLOOMINGS. We will continue to stay true to our mission: to propagate poetry and the poets who pose it. We are all about YOU. Promotion is part of this battle we wage, and if POETIC BLOOMINGS can aid in some small way, then we have accomplished much! Join us daily to stay abreast of goings on, prompts, poetic forms, interviews and whatever else we can cram into this page for your information and enjoyment. We are glad to host you. Take a walk along with us as our poetic garden blooms

At Poetic Bloomings, the focus has always been on cultivating a welcoming space where poets of every experience level can share their work and grow together. The community began as a simple idea: that encouragement and honest conversation could help writers find their voices and feel supported along the way. Over time, that idea has blossomed into a daily gathering place for anyone who feels called to the craft of poetry.
The blog centers on the belief that poetry is not reserved for the few but belongs to anyone willing to slow down and listen. Readers arrive each morning to discover fresh prompts, explore traditional and modern forms, and read thoughtful posts from poets who care deeply about language. The tone remains conversational and warm, inviting visitors to linger over a verse or two before stepping back into the wider world.
Weekly features give structure to the journey. Prompts spark new drafts, interviews introduce fellow travelers in the craft, and discussions of poetic forms offer guidance without rigidity. Posts about revision, inspiration, and the sometimes difficult work of finishing a poem remind writers that growth comes through practice and patience. Every entry is offered as a small gift to the community.
Visitors are encouraged not only to read but also to respond, comment, and share their own writing when they wish. Conversation between poets becomes part of the garden, with each comment adding another bloom to the page. The community values kindness, curiosity, and the willingness to celebrate the work of others, knowing that generosity enriches every writer who participates.
Above all, Poetic Bloomings remains rooted in the joy of words and the connections they create. Whether someone arrives seeking a prompt to begin a new poem, a moment of quiet reading, or simply the comfort of a supportive space, the blog aims to offer it. The hope is that every visitor leaves feeling a little more inspired, a little more seen, and a little more ready to write.

Marie and Jane, Thank you for the beautiful and insightful glimpse into Jane’s world. I feel blessed to know her and benefit daily from her gifts in word and images and from sharing brief encounters with this special couple.

Hey, there, all. This is for Walt, specifically. Do you want me to send you a dinky version for my page bio and links? I can do that if I know where you’d like me to send it.
Thanis so much.

I participated in Poetic Bloomings for the first time and find i’m having a very hard time sorting out others’ offerings in the long stream of comments.
Have you considered using Mister Linky on http://www.blenza.com to provide a place for people to link in with a poem on their own blog? It’s free and so much easier for participants to use.

Marie & Walt! You are probably OVER-qualified for this, but this particular site says you have fewer than 200 followers (though, I doubt it’s really true!). At any rate, I am passing along some cyber-cupcakes to you both! NO one deserves these more than you two for your amazing support of any & all comers. Thank you! Hope you enjoy.
